To say that two things are the same we use the word  一样 /yīyàng/ TO BE THE SAME

The simplest form: 他们一样 /Tāmen yīyàng/ THEY ARE THE SAME

THEY ARE OF THE SAME AGE (THEY ARE EQUALLY BIG): 他们一样大 /Tāmen yīyàng dà/ 

SUBJECT A is the same as SUBJECT B: SUBJECT A – WITH (AND) (跟,和) – SUBJECT B – 一样

As a preposition we use either  / gēn/ WITH or  /hé/ AND 

 

EXAMPLES

My oppinion on this problem is the same as yours.
我 的 对 这个 问题 的 看法 跟 你 一样。
Wǒ de duì zhège wèntí de kànfǎ gēn nǐ yīyàng.
They are more or less of the same age.
他们 差不多 一样 大。
<Tāmen chàbùduō yīyàng dà.>
My oppinion is the same as yours.
我 的 看法 跟 你 一样。
Wǒ de kànfǎ gēn nǐ yīyàng.
These two pieces of clotes are more or less the same.
这 两件 衣服 差不多 一样。
<Zhè liǎng jiàn yīfu chàbùduō yīyàng.>
The two of them are the same.
他们 两个 一样。
<Tāmen liǎngge yīyàng.>
They are the same.
他们 一样。
<Tāmen yīyàng.>
