Words like 贵 /guì/ EXPENSIVE, 好 /hǎo/ GOOD can be used as verbs

In positive notification sentences we have to accompany them with 很 /hěn/

In negative form we don’t use 很 /hěn/, just 不 /bù/

 

EXAMPLES

The teacher is old.
老师 很 老。
<Lǎoshī hěn lǎo.>
Chinese people are many.
中国人 很 多。
<Zhōngguórén hěn duō.>
China is big.
中国 很 大。
<Zhōngguó hěn dà.>
Europe is big.
欧洲 很 大。
<Ōuzhōu hěn dà.>
That is good!
那个 很 好!
Nàge hěn hǎo!
