When we wanna say that someone speaks well, runs fast, speaks slow etc., we need to know how to express so called verb complement – that is the subject of this lesson.

她工作得很慢。      

<Tā gōngzuò de hěn màn.>

She works _de slow.

SHE WORKS SLOW.

她工作得很快。      

<Tā gōngzuò de hěn kuài.>

She works _de fast.

汉语得很好。      

<Tā shuō hànyǔ shuō de hěn hǎo.>

He speaks Chinese speaks _de well.

HE SPEAKS CHINESE WELL.

 

他说汉语说得怎么样?      

<Tā shuō hànyǔ shuō de zěnme yàng?>

He speaks Chinese speaks _de how?

HOW DOES HE SPEAK CHINESE?

 

他说汉语说得很快。      

<Tā shuō hànyǔ shuō de hěn kuài.>

He speaks Chinese speaks _de fast.

 

You already know the sentence: I CAN’T SEE YOU.
