Hi! I'm Filip Mracek, senior Chinese teacher, published author and creator of popular educational content for students of Chinese. 

I studied Chinese at the prestigious Renmin Daxue in Beijing.

FAQ

What level do I need to apply?

The Chineseffect system is currently most suited to beginners and intermediate students.

Are the lessons in English?

Both the lessons and the materials are in English.

What does the session look like?

We meet online ideally twice a week. Each session takes 30 or 45 minutes. The session itself is a combination of casual friendly talk, systematic vocabulary and grammar expansion - and of course, discovering new SMART SENTENCES. 🙂 After the session you get links to relevant online materials to play with later for deepening your knowledge. There is also 15 minutes option. These short sessions focus mainly on giving you guidance for your self-study and on polishing your pronunciation.

Is there any textbook?

If you are a beginner, you can benefit from beautiful printable CHINESEFFECT MAGIC PLAYBOOKS that will guide you through the foundations of Chinese language.

However the CHINESEFFECT SYSTEM is based on meaningful human interactions - and therefore we need to be FREE FROM the traditional approach of following boring textbooks.

You will be directed to relevant online materials instead.

Will these classes help me with HSK exam?

Classes will help you with actual communication skills. In a very short time you will become confident in forming sentences and you will learn practical vocabulary. All of that will be helpful for succeeding in HSK.

However if you want to study specifically to gain the certificate, you better look for a different solution, because this is PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE FIRST approach, not CERTIFICATE FIRST approach.

Should I choose 15, 30 or 45 minutes?

15 minutes sessions are great for people who prefer to study on their own with RICH CONTENT LIBRARY and NEXT GEN BOOKS but want to be sure that their pronunciation is excellent.

45 minutes sessions are great for people who value human interaction most and want to talk and talk and talk.

30 minutes sessions are something in between. 🙂

You can change the duration of your classes during the process to find out what works best for you.
